The woman beaten by a CHP Officer Daniel Andrew will receive $1.5 million under a settlement, and Officer Daniel Andrew has "elected" to resign.
Officer Andrew has been on paid administrative leave since the incident.
The CHP forwarded the results of its investigation of the incident to Los Angeles County prosecutors last month, saying Andrew could still be charged criminally in the case, but no charges have been filed.
