Microsoft has released a new, short, live action series, Halo: Nightfall. Written by Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring and produced by Ridley Scott's Scott Free productions, I watched all 5 episodes in one afternoon.
Microsoft's earlier live Halo series, Forward Unto Dawn, was excellent. Halo: Nightfall is good enough. The effects, early SciFi channel-style acting, and just enough Halo lore to get me engaged. I loved seeing battle rifles, MJOLNIR styled armor, Condors, ONI and all the other UNSC goodies. Sadly, after episode two the story was nonexistent, you've seen this junk plot many times.
