A book of smart ideas about design

I found 101 Things I Learned in Architecture School (part of the popular series) in an airport bookshop. Thumbing through it, I learned three or four new things about design, presenting design, and how to think about design. That was enough for me. I nabbed a copy.

While the subject of is obviously architecture, most of the design principles it outlines can apply to other areas of design and the visual presentation of ideas.

Two-page spreads for each entry include a diagram/drawing on the left and the pearl of wisdom on the right. It's a very simple but compelling format that I bet is more effective in getting its ideas across than most expositional textbooks. One of the other books in the series is 101 Things I Learned in Engineering School. I'll be adding that to my library next.
