As you might have guessed from my Marvel movie ranking, I'm a pretty big superhero movie fangirl. That means I'm always on the look out for podcasts that discuss the genre without slipping into too much sexist bro talk. So I was overjoyed to discover Film Divider's excellent Cinematic Universe podcast, which is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Every other week Joe Cunningham, Seb Patrick, and James Hunt discuss the latest superhero film/ TV news and review a comic book movie adaptation. So far they've covered Daredevil, Batman (1989), Iron Man, the Agent Carter TV show, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Watchmen. The podcast is totally accessible even to those who don't know much about comics (like myself) but still enjoy the films. The hosts have great chemistry, and while I've listened to some podcasts that prefer to nitpick superhero films, Joe, Seb, and James clearly want to celebrate the genre, even when it comes to reviewing less-than-great films like Daredevil and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
