UK Independence Party Nigel Farage is an equal-opportunity bigot, hating Gallifreyans just as much as he hates Bulgarians and Romanians.
In an appearance on the BBC last week, Farage called for a radical cutback on the scope of the public service broadcaster's activities, including cancelling Doctor Who.
Later, after being summoned to account by a Star Chamber of Time Lords, Mr Farage backtracked and grudgingly said that he would allow one Gallifreyan to remain in the UK after UKIP takes power, providing that the Doctor promises not to seek benefits, reproduce, or take jobs from honest English Time-Lords.
