Rule breaking adventurer Adrian Tarn is back. In Deep Crossing he trains the new crew of his experimental craft for a deep space mission!
Much like ER Mason's first Adrian Tarn novel, Fatal Boarding, I found Deep Crossing to be a fast, fun ride. Tarn is back, breaking the rules as usual. Just to make the point, the book opens with Tarn fishing off a no-fishing pier. We're quickly introduced to a new mission, that only he can perform, and a team of misfits he has to get into shape. They must retrieve a lost relic from the depths of space.
Mason's style remains quirky and the editing hasn't improved much. That didn't stop me from enjoying this story or its surprising ending. I'm looking forward to reading more Adrian Tarn.
