Watch dreamlike short film made from combined video stills


Aaron Grimes created this stunning, surreal video of Tokyo last year by "stacking video frames inside Adobe Photoshop and then recombining those stacked frames into a video again."


"With IN MOTION I wanted to make a busy, crowded scene seem manageable and relaxed," Grimes writes. "While a time-lapse of a subway platform can look cool, it speeds up everything and the people in it look like insects rushing from one place to another. It almost amplifies the stress of the city. Instead, I went the other direction and toned down the stress of a crowded scene."
