The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra has a wonderful collection of many favorite science fiction movie standards. This is some of my favorite music to play while driving.
Go ahead, question my maturity! Nothing feels quite like careening through a twisting canyon,listening to the theme from the Last Star Fighter or Battle Beyond the Stars. Cresting a hill to the opening of the classic Battlestar Galactica can also be an emotional experience, albeit the music has some odd transitions.
This fantastic collection from The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra covers most of the bases for me.
