Crashed truck releases millions of bees on highway

A trailer loaded with millions of bees in 400 hives overturned in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho on Sunday.

From KLXY:

Crews were unable to upright the truck with all of the hives inside, foam was brought in to kill the bees and take them to a landfill.

There were several bee keepers on scene to save as many bees as possible.

ISP Corporal Chuck Robnett took the video of Alyssa Donovan trying to avoid getting stung. She eventually put on a yellow fire shirt but the bees decided to fly up the sleeves. The total sting count at the end of the day was seven.
