The long-running annual celebration of space culture "Yuri's Night" returns Saturday, April 9, with parties all over the globe honoring Yuri Gagarin, the first human being in space.

Yuri's Night founder Loretta Hidalgo Whitesides says,

JPL rovers, Burning Man art, coded glow bracelets, a gigantic spaceship that flew to space 25 times sitting right above your head and much, much more.
We will also have a special LaunchPad Pre-Party this year where you can play in our Space Hero Training Experience in the museum's "Journey to Space" exhibition. Come meet your crew, put yourselves through the paces in your mission training, and then grab a celebratory beer.
Then at 7pm ESA Astronaut and women's space mission duration record holder Samantha Cristoforetti takes the stage to tell you first hand about her epic 199 days in space and what it was like to have the Italian Space Agency deliver the first espresso machine to ISS during her mission.
