At Starbucks, some customers give 'Black Lives Matter' as name so baristas will shout the phrase

"When ordering at Starbucks, people have changed their name to "Black Lives Matter" so that, when their order is up, the baristas have to yell out their new moniker," reports Taryn Finley at Huffington Post Black Voices.

Facebook user Lex Cross posted his Starbucks receipt and a screenshot of the app to reflect his new name.

Since he published his post on Thursday, it has been shared over 47,000 times, and is inspiring others to do the same. The idea is for everyone in the Starbucks location to hear the words "black lives matter."

I think this is awesome and cool. But I cringe at the possibility that white supremacist racist jerks might co-opt the idea, in an attempt to try and bully workers into shouting racist slogans. For now, it's a wonderful little protest hack that honors the humanity of black Americans.
