YouTube announces crowdsourced censorship

Reddit and social media have proven that some people will do anything for points, likes, follows and so on, including work for free, so YouTube announced Heroes, a new platform for people who will moderate their site in exchange for points. Ironically/unsurprisingly, the announcement video hasn't gotten many likes.

Years ago, I beta-tested a similar product by Facebook called Community Council. These basically let you you learn what it's like to work in an overseas digital sweatshop with "points" instead of subsistence wages as the incentive.

Get ready for a whole new advertiser-friendly YouTube, enforced by time-rich people willing to work for non-redeemable digital highscores!
