The Democratic Party establishment's insistence on fronting a more-of-the-same establishment candidate cost them the election and cost America its sanity: now it's time to start planning for the 2018 midterms and a Congress that can roadblock Trump's mass deportations, torture, spying and censorship.
Bernie Sanders is backing Rep Keith Ellison [D-MN], a hard-fighting anti-establishment Democrat who's been fighting for Constitutional rights for all Americans since the Bush years. He has my backing, too.
We must also do everything we can to elect Democrats in Congress in 2018, and to take back the White House in 2020. We need a Democratic National Committee led by a progressive who understands the dire need to listen to working families, not the political establishment or the billionaire class.
