Diguo's Luxury Royal Family Balance Syphon Coffee Maker is an amazingly elaborate coffee siphon, a brewing method dating to the 1830s which is said to produce "a delicate, tea-like cup of coffee," albeit with the caveat that it is "quite persnickety."
I have owned some very expensive and beautiful coffee machines over the years, but for my money, there is no beating the humble, $30 Aeropress, an idiot-proof way to make a practically perfect cup every single time.
Nevertheless, there is something compelling about this ridiculous thing. If I had unlimited counterspace, I might be tempted to part with $160 to have one in my house and make me smile.
