Watch this vintage horror film's HYPNO-VISTA intro

HYPNO-VISTA was an experimental opening sequence used in the late 1950s on a few horror movies. The film would be spliced to start with a hypnotist practicing that dark art.

This example from Horrors of the Black Museum features Emile Franchel. An announcer intones up front:

Will any member of this audience who has ever been hypnotized by Emile Franchel, hypnotist, kindly wait in the theatre lobby for the next thirteen minutes.

Warning: don't watch if you are easily suggestible!
