Of the many veggie peelers I owned, this is my favorite

zyliss

I've used this Zyliss vegetable peeler for years, and I've not yet had to sharpen it.

It's more comfortable than an OXO Goodgrips model, and it makes quick work of carrots, potatoes, and yams, and even butternut squash. I like Y-design peelers like this one, because my hand doesn't tire like it would with a wand peeler when I peel a whole sack of potatoes. The little plastic ring on the side scoops out potato eyes and other unsavory bits. The only thing it's choked on is jicama skin. For that, I use a sharp knife.
