Reward of $1 million for Dorothy's stolen ruby slippers

Have you seen these ruby slippers? Someone swiped them from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minn and an anonymous individual is offering $1 million reward for their return. From the Washington Post:

Every year, the once-sparkling shoes were lent to the museum by their owner, collector Michael Shaw. When the museum told him it wanted to put the slippers in a safe every night, Shaw wouldn’t have it.

The Wizard of Oz, the medical drama

CBS is turning The Wizard of Oz into a medical drama. The program in development, titled Dorothy, is “a medical soap based in New York City, inspired by the characters and themes immortalized in The Wizard of Oz.” Oh, the noive. (Entertainment Weekly)

Margaret Pellegrini, original Oz Munchkin, RIP

NewImage Margaret Pellegrini, one of the Munchkins in The Wizard of Oz (1939), died today at age 89. Pellegrini was just 16 when she appeared in the film. Of the 124 actors who portrayed Munchkins in the film, there are only two still known to be alive. (Yahoo! Movies)
