The "other" man to be executed in America tonight, an unrepentant white supremacist who dragged a black man to death in one of the most horrific lynchings in history, "requested an extensive final meal that included two chicken fried steaks, a triple-meat bacon cheeseburger, fried okra, a pound of barbecue, three fajitas, a pint of ice cream, a meat lover's pizza and a slab of peanut butter fudge with crushed peanuts."
According to reports, he did not eat any of it.
Update: Multiple reports confirming that white supremacist gang member Lawrence Brewer has been executed in Texas for the dragging death of James Byrd 13 years ago. The 44-year old death row inmate died by lethal execution at 7:21pm. Byrd's surviving family lobbied for his killers to be spared execution.

Brewer was asked if he had any final words, to which he replied: "No. I have no final statement." He glanced at his parents watching through a nearby window, took several deep breaths and closed his eyes. A single tear hung on the edge of his right eye as he was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m., 10 minutes after the lethal drugs began flowing into his arms, both covered with intricate black tattoos.
