Has anyone used this 3M "super" weather striping and gasket adhesive? I am about to glue the BMW roundels and knee pads onto a mid-70s touring tank for my old Airhead; this stuff comes highly recommended but I thought I'd ask for your help.
This represents the SECOND time I am attempting to affix these things, as the Gorilla Glue a friend recommended the first time resulted in a complete repainting of my freshly painted tank. Yes, after spending months and months of waiting we slathered the wrong glue on it and ruined the paint job.
If I can get these parts to stick, the tank on, and the fuel lines not leaking (a miracle,) I'll share some photos and document the disaster that was this project.
