Timebound by Rysa Walker is an excellent time travel adventure!
Within a few days of being reunited with her long estranged grandmother, Kate's entire life is turned upside down. Her mother is wiped from existence, her Father is living another, very real life with a different family, Kate has lost everything she cares about. It turns out that Kate is the only person alive who can stop her grandfather from changing both the past and present to shape his needs.
I really enjoy how Rysa Walker is building character relationships, describing their emotions and shaping Kate up to be a formidable player. The technology and time travel science she uses is perfect for the tale and doesn't distract me with a lot of huge "no ways" as other novels have. I am really enjoying her work.
I noticed there is at least one more book in this series and some fan fiction via Kindle Worlds. I may have to check that out!

The Kent District Library in Grand Rapids, Michigan is imploring its patrons to please not attempt to disinfect borrowed books by putting them in the microwave. The books contain metal RFID tags that will burn the pages and potentially cause a fire. From KIRO7: “I don’t know if it was something that they saw on […]
Every year, adventurous (and oft-unprepared) hikers who are fans of Jon Krakauer’s book “Into the Wild” (1996) or the move based upon it have attempted the treacherous 20 mile trek on Alaska’s Stampede Trail to the abandoned bus where Chris McCandless found refuge (until his death) in 1992. And frequently, hikers making the pilgrimage have […]
In 2018, legendary Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward wrote Fear: Trump in the White House, a brutal look at the current administration. As we know, the story was just beginning. In September, we’ll get the follow-up, now listed on Amazon without a title or cover but described as “Bob Woodward’s second work of nonfiction on […]
“The guitar has a kind of grit and excitement possessed by nothing else.” – Brian May If someone was assigned to turn raw sexiness into an actual, physical real-world object, it would have to be a guitar. The sound. The fit. The swagger. The allure. The longing. It’s all right there in 38 inches and […]
There was already enough concern about the healthy state of our drinking water before COVID-19. And while there’s no evidence that the coronavirus has ever been detected in the water supply, the general sense of fear surrounding any type of contamination is obviously at a fever pitch everywhere. Contaminants like lead, chromium, arsenic, copper, mercury, […]
Allergies are brutal, affecting about 30 percent of all American adults. While many only saddle sufferers with mild irritations like coughing, sneezing, a runny nose or watering eyes, some symptoms can be even more intrusive and significantly more painful. Sinus pressure is one of those unholy side effects, causing a pain that can stretch from […]
