Sleepovers get brutal in this free pillow fighting game

Even if you're not a fan of fighting games, you should try Bed✰hogg, a game about beating another child in the face with a pillow.

Bed✰hogg's name is a tip of the hat to the fencing game Nidhogg, but also a bit more literal: this is ultimately a battle between two little kids over who gets to hog the bed, and who has to "move over."

Unlike the fencing game, however, you're wielding both a hand-to-hand weapon and a projectile; you can clock your opponent with your pillow up close, launch it like a grenade across the screen, and even charge it up for a more powerful attack. Of course, if you decide to throw it, that means you'll be unarmed until you pick it back up. For all its simplicity, it's a surprisingly strategic game, so plan your pillowy assault carefully.

You can play Bed✰hogg in your browser now, either on your own or against a friend. Impressively, it was created by developer Will Blanton in only 48 hours as part of the Ludum Dare game-making event.
