Brett Bobley writes, "'Hypertext: an Educational Experiment in English and Computer Science at Brown University' is an amazing documentary film from 1976 made by Brown University computer scientist Andries 'Andy' van Dam."
The film was recently re-discovered and had its first public showing ever on April 25, 2016. It is now up on the Internet Archive for public viewing.
The film was funded by a 1974 grant provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Decades before the internet, this short film by legendary computer scientist Andy van Dam demonstrates a classroom with an online social network, peer to peer learning, and online hypertext learning materials.
