Australia man mates a hamburger and a hotdog, creates Hamdog fast food monstrosity

Wait 'til the anti-GMO activists hear about this genetic monstrosity. The horror.

Mark Murray of Perth plans to soon begin selling his patented cross between a hamburger and a hotdog, which he calls the "Hamdog." He'll begin selling hamdogs in Australia.

From coverage in The Mercury, an Australian newspaper:

Mark Murray first pitched his idea on Channel 10's Shark Tank program last year, after successfully securing a US patent for the "combination hamburger hot dog bread bun" in 2009.

"Everyone told me it wasn't possible, because you'd need a patent lawyer and it would cost millions of dollars," Mr Murray told news.com.au.

"Even [Boost Juice founder and Shark Tank judge] Janine Allis told me that it was impossible to patent. She'll be eating her words now," Mr Murray said.

The Hamdog.

Mr. Murray is selling Hamdog franchise rights for $10,000 each. No word on whether anyone has taken him up on it yet. From WGN-TV:

There is already an American "Hamdog," although it's quite different than its Australian cousin. Invented by Chandler Goff of the Decatur, Georgia bar Mulligans, it features a hot dog wrapped in a beef patty and then deep fried. It's then covered with chili, french fries, and a fried egg.
