Bernie Sanders' touching video endorsing his brother's candidacy for David Cameron's old Parliamentary seat

Bernie Sanders' brother Larry is a longtime UK politician in the Green Party (I was a UK Green Party member until I emigrated to the USA last year); he's now running in a by-election triggered by David Cameron taking a shit on the UK and they running away from it as fast as he could.

It's clear that the two brothers are close, despite their geographic separation (many of us wept along with Larry during his touching speech at the DNC).

Bernie has released a sweet, moving video endorsing his brother for the Parliamentary seat. He praises Larry as a "very strong influence over my life" who " is a very, very caring human being, who wants to see government represent all of the people, not just the people on top."

He added: "He wants to see a society in which we do not have massive levels of income and wealth inequality, wants to see a society where healthcare is a right of people and that means quality healthcare under the national health system.

"For decades now, and I hear this from him almost every week, he has been working to strengthen the NHS to ensure that it is the quality system that everyone in the UK is entitled to."

Larry, the Oxford-based Greens' spokesman on health matters, has been a local councillor and spent eight years as leader of the county council's Green group.
