The BBC's pidgin service is aimed at West African audiences; it is a pure delight.
It's also the first of 10 new African language services the BBC will launch this year.
Pidgin is a language that evolved during the 17th and 18th century due to the slave trade, and it is widely spoken in Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. It lacks a "standard agreed written form."
