Canadian stereotype foils bank robbery

Tim Hortons might have over 500 locations in the United States, but I tells ya, it's a Canadian thing.

You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone raised in this country who doesn't have fond memories of a Timmy's coffee or doughnut thrown down their throat on a frigid winter day. Life is hard up here, beyond The Wall, and we take what comfort we can. Unfortunately, having a lust for the coffee franchise's goods jammed into our DNA doesn't jive with all aspects of modern life.

Take bank robbery, for example.

The CBC reports that on Monday, a 26-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man (teamwork!) are alleged to have robbed a bank in Richibuctoe, New Brunswick. It was the perfect plan–expect for the bit where they apparently decided to stop for a couple of double-doubles at the Tim Hortons in Bouctouche, a town located 20 minutes north of where their alleged heist took place. As there's only one road that'll get you from  Bouctouche to Richibuctoe, it didn't take long for the RCMP to locate and dog pile on top of the two suspects in the doughnut shop's parking lot. Also, police and doughnut shops, so yeah.

RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Patrick Tardif stated that the pair were apprehended without any injuries and, sadly, without their being able to order anything to eat or drink.
