The Internet Archive is hosting a symposium on John Perry Barlow on April 7 (and I'm emceeing)

EFF co-founder John Perry Barlow died last month, and though his death had been long coming, it's left a hole in the hearts of the people who loved him and whom he inspired.

We're celebrating Barlow's life at San Francisco's Internet Archive (who host Barlow's archives) on April 7, with a symposium that's running from 2 to 6PM. I'm emceeing, and the speaker list includes Ed Snowden, Cindy Cohn, John Gilmore, Mitch Kapor, Joi Ito, Trevor Timm, Shari Steele, Pam Samuelson, Steven Levy and Amelia Barlow.

Admission is free, but EFF is asking for a $20 donation at the door to benefit EFF and the Freedom of the Press Foundation.

Don't worry if you can't make it to San Francisco: there's a free livestream.

I hope to see you there!
