I had to have the Mr. Rogers Funko.
My daughter and I were visiting family in Everett, Washington. Famous for roller derby and its proximity to other things, Everett has become a mecca for collectors of Funko figurines. Soon after our arrival we were taken to see Funko's Everett themed wonderland.
While the plastic figures are mainly based around the popular characters of scifi, fantasy and adventure tv and movies ala Star Wars and the Marvel Confusing Universe, some are Funko originals based around invented lands like the Wetmore (a street in Everett) Wilderness or something like that. Anyways, lots of streets in Everett have Funko-made totems. Interesting, but maybe not useful to know.
I was interested to see Funko but after .3 of a second I had enough. I must resist plastic knick knackery for my home. My daughter fell in love with some really cute Star Wars tee-shirts, but man those Pops were not calling to me. Then I saw the Mr. Rogers one.
Now I have the Mr. Rogers one.
It is super cute and hey, Mr. Rogers! The eyes somehow work.
I did manage to make it all the way home, and a week away from the place before I gave in and ordered one.

I hope Funko Lion Force Voltron is the only Voltron Funko makes! I seriously can not remember the name of a single member of the Voltron Vehicle Force. That show was trash. Funko Pop 6″ Animation: Voltron-Voltron Collectible Figure via Amazon
Just seeing this FunkoPop of Jim Henson made me want to cry. Funko POP! Icons: Henson – Jim Henson with Kermit via Amazon
If the Captain Marvel opening credits didn’t tug your heartstrings enough, perhaps this marvelous Stan Lee Funko Pop will satisfy. The only autograph I ever asked a celebrity for was Stan Lee. “Excelsior, Jason! Stan Lee” is on a 3×5 card around here someplace. Funko POP!: Stan Lee via Amazon
The more you use your computer, the more it becomes possible for others to use it too. Where there are anti-virus systems, there are hackers looking for a way to get around them. That’s why it’s important to get software that doesn’t just passively scout for viruses in the background. The folks behind GlassWire have […]
Knowledge is power. It’s a cliché, but sometimes things turn into a cliché because they’re true. If you’re making your way through the world of business and entrepreneurship, it only makes sense to read about the insights of people who have climbed that ladder before you. Trouble is, the modern workday doesn’t leave a lot […]
As much as some of us fear the loss of our jobs to robots, there’s one job we’re pretty sure they are welcome to: vacuuming. There’s nothing quite like kicking back and watching a robot vacuum do one of the most time-consuming tasks on the household chore list. And there are few ‘bots that do […]
