This is absolutely the best pet watering dish we've ever had.
This dish will supply water to multiple animals, even if some are Great Pyrenees sized, for several days. It doesn't get knocked over by aggressive pawing, but it does make a nice hollow banging sound when empty and smacked at by a pet. Easy to clean by hand or put in the dishwasher, I can not recommend this dish highly enough.
I fill this about every 4 to 5 days for my Great Pyr, Cavalier and Maine Coon. When I had 3 Cavaliers it was filled up at about the same schedule. Clean it every few weeks or some algae will start to grow, plus dirt and gunk from pet fur works it way into the bowl. I long ago stopped using the charcoal filters. I should try again.
My cat far prefers sharing this dish with the dogs to a running "water fountain" style dish.
We now have two, I wanted one upstairs and one downstairs.
