Trump's Orphans: 528 children still separated, 'severe attachment injuries' observed in migrant kids

Jacob Soboroff of NBC News has been covering the story of migrant kids separated from their families by Trump's violent policy at the Mexico border. Soboroff is in Florida today, where he stopped by a "temporary" HHS shelter for unaccompanied minors who entered the United States illegally.

"It's still open," Soboroff says.

"Trump administration sent many separated kids here during zero tolerance. Around 50 of them are still inside. 528 total remain separated."

Early childhood developmental psychologists say what we're seeing in videos like the ACLU clip below is 'severe attachment injury' in the child. This is irreparable, violent harm to a child. Imagine the pain of one kid. Multiply that by hundreds.
