I have seen incredible changes in both well aged Cavaliers, and my middle-aged Great Pyrenees, just by feeding them fish oil and glucosamine supplements. My dogs love these Salmon Bites.
My darling dog Lucy was prescribed some glucosamine and omega 3/6 supplements, years and years ago. She went from being a creaky, slow arthritic old lady to regaining a lot of her pep. Lucy maintained that energy til she passed away.
As my current companions begin to age, and I've seen signs of joint pain, I have started giving them these chews. I was giving them salmon oil squirted on their food but stopped, as Zuul's breath was pretty stinky and she sleeps on my head. ON. MY. HEAD.
After a few weeks both my Cavalier and my Pyr appear more spritely. YMMV — but anything I can do to make the dogs a bit happier? I'm on it.
