1980s 'Masquerade' shows how hard spies had it

Gradient shaded sunglasses, microfilm and a super early version of the Apple phone all make an appearance in dated TV spy drama, Masquerade. None of this stuff looks fancy or secretive today.

Distrust of our intelligence agencies is apparently not a new thing! In the '80s this TV drama shared a US spy agency recruiting everyday American citizens to do its overseas dirty work.

I may be the only person who remembers it.
