'They said we could never win. And then we started winning.' — Young people around the U.S. are taking legal action in the fight against climate change. #JoinJuliana
The Juliana v. US youth plaintiffs need your help. To support their lawsuit against the federal government for causing climate change, these young climate warriors need Americans under the age of 25 to sign a legal brief that will be submitted with the Court.
What if you're older?
Ages 25 and under will appear on the Young People’s Brief. If you’re older, please sign on to stay informed about our campaign, and share with the young people in your life! Parents may sign on behalf of their young children.
To learn more and sign on, visit joinjuliana.org, and you can follow (and propagate) the hashtags #JoinJuliana #youthvgov.
The #JoinJuliana campaign is all about inviting young people to add their names to the Young People’s amicus (“friend of the court”) brief in support of the Juliana v. United States plaintiffs.
The brief will be filed with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on March 1, 2019. Since Saturday, more than 3,000 young people have added their names in support of the brief, we're told by folks who work with the effort.
Here's a NowThis video about the campaign.
