Los Angeles Boing Boing readers are invited to the premiere of the film King Baby (2019) the first feature film from filmmaker and artist Case Esparros.
King Baby is a second coming of Christ story set in a decaying world. It is a meditation on belief divided into three acts. King Baby is the firm belief that Christianity is the sublime in the wretched image. It's a story of hope and shedding sorrow. The film is scored and features music from Case Esparros himself as well as CON-DOM, Ramleh, and Yung Lean, and stars musicians such as folk artist Sunny War and outsider musician SUPERSTAR AND STAR as the central Christ character.
Superstar and Star will perform after the screening.
