The getaway goat's name is 'Big Boy.' “He’s never done anything like that before,” his owner said when finally reunited with the goat.
“I think he was drinking too much that night. I’m really sorry it happened but there wasn’t much I could do. I wasn’t there.”
In an Ohio town, a teen got home from school last Friday to discover the family dog barking outside, and a sliding glass door shattered.
The kid's mom called the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office after they figured out a goat had crashed into their family home.
Keathley said she and the deputies called vets, animal control and the local Humane Society for advice. She said everyone laughed at them and they laughed too but they really needed help. Finally, the deputies decided to attempt corralling the goat out themselves. They tried tying a rope around its neck, enticing it with carrots, dog bones, grass.
At one point, the goat turned around and ran back into the bathroom. Eventually, the two deputies each grabbed a horn and managed to lead the goat outside and into the German Shepard’s cage.
On local Facebook pages, Keathley asked, “is anybody missing a ram? Please contact me ASAP.”
She said she didn’t want to include what the male goat had done in the post or else the owner might not claim him.

A “pigeon positive” animal rescue group called Lofty Hopes is now trying to catch the pigeons and safely remove their hats. […]

I had hoped In the Valley of Gods, Campo Santo’s follow up to Firewatch, was going to adapt some of the magic of the Indiana Jones and Brendan Fraser Mummy films, and add a modern sensibility. The trailer looked promising: From the team that brought you Firewatch, In the Valley of Gods is a sprawling […]
With all the revolutionary tech that’s out there, it’s pretty sad that finding a simple stud in your wall can feel like dowsing for water. This can be equally true whether you’re using a magnetic finder and it’s reliance on “feel,” or an electronic unit that can give fuzzy readings (especially when the batteries are […]
Do you have any Star Wars fans on your list? Given the reach and output of its new corporate masters these days, it might be easier to ask if there’s anyone out there who isn’t a Star Wars fan. So let’s narrow it down further: Do you know a Star Wars fan who likes to […]
There’s much ado about coffee brewing methods these days, but most of us – at least on the busy weekdays – just want our morning joe to be consistent, easy, and most of all, fast. If that sounds like anyone on your Christmas list, they’re going to get a lot of mileage out of the […]
