Watch this maker build a gorgeous cedar strip canoe

Xyla Foxlin and her uncle take just 30 days to create a cedar strip canoe reminiscent of summers with her aunt and uncle. The next 30 days were spend adding the varnish. She says:

I've been paddling the Adirondacks in cedar strip canoes with my aunt and uncle for as long as I can remember, so when my uncle offered to help me build my own canoe, I leapt at the opportunity. This was one of the most magical months of my life, getting to be up in Vermont learning from one of my favorite people. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it. For those wondering: it took 30 days to build the canoe, another month to get a good final varnish coat (quarantine started though, so we slowed down), then 3 months to edit the video. The final boat is 43 lbs and 14' long.
