While "Stayin' Alive" (1978) and the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack was the pinnacle of the Bee Gees' mainstream success, real heads know that before they became disco icons, the brothers Gibb were an excellent psych-pop band and, before that, were teen rock 'n' roll celebs in their native Australia, opening for the likes of Chubby Checker.
