These Luci solar-powered inflatable lights are perfect for both outdoor hangs and emergencies

If you're sitting in the backyard on a calm evening, a solar-powered light that flickers to life as the sun starts to set is helpful and convenient. But when you're outdoors camping or in the middle of an emergency, miles away from the closest available working outlet, that solar-powered light is a heck of a lot more than convenient. It's downright essential.

Nearly a decade ago, New York-based startup MPOWERD created the Luci, the first inflatable solar light on the market. Their goal: to make an affordable, sustainable clean energy light that people could use and reuse in virtually any situation safely and effectively. Now, the company has a full line of solar inflatable lights available, each packed with the technology and can-do resilience to get the job done.

MPOWERD still sells the flagship of the line, the Luci Original Solar Lantern. All it takes is up to seven hours of sunlight on the high-efficiency solar panel to fill the Luci's on-board rechargeable 1,000mAh lithium-ion battery. That's enough to keep the Luci's 10 LEDs emitting 65 lumens of power for up to 24 hours. It's also built with the active lifestyle in mind, weighing just under 4.5 oz., capable of withstanding up to 150 lbs. of pressure, fully waterproof with an IP67 rating and even collapsible down to 1 inch high.

Or to enjoy a slightly different look, you can also try the Luci Lux, which includes all the same features as the Original while being more aesthetically suited for use at home in a sitting room or on a garden patio.

Meanwhile, the Luci Outdoor 2.0 is the next step in Luci evolution, this time featuring an even brighter 75 lumens LED array. As with the Original, the Outdoor 2.0 also has an easy carrying handle, so you can hike or lead the way with the light safely in hand.

Of course, if the Original and Outdoor 2.0 were good, the Luci Outdoor 2.0 Pro Series is even better. In addition to the low, medium, high and flashing modes of the other Luci models, the Pro Series up the ante with almost double the illuminating power, up to 150 lumens. For that extra wattage, you need more power, and the Pro Series fills up its 2,000mAh battery to provide users with up to 50 hours of light on a single charge.

Meanwhile, the Pro Series is also USB-compatible with two-way charging. The light itself can be fully recharged in 2 to 3 hours via USB, or you can turn that charge around and use it to power up a depleted device like a smartphone easily.

You can save by getting all of these Luci models right now in convenient two-packs, from the Original ($42.99) to the Lux ($41.99) to the Outdoor 2.0 ($41.99) to the Outdoor 2.0 Pro ($59.99, $20 off the regular price).
