Real hermit descends from remote mountain cave for COVID-19 vaccine

For two decades, Panta Petrovic, 70, has lived in a tiny mountain cave on the Stara Planina mountain in southern Serbia. (Take a video tour of his incredible living situation below.)

"I was not free in the city," Petrovic told AFP. "There is always someone in your way—you either argue with your wife, neighbors or the police. Here, nobody is hassling me."

Last year during a trip to the nearby town, Petrovic learned of COVID-19. He's since returned to get his vaccination.

"It (the virus) does not pick," he says. "It will come here, to my cave, too."

I want to get all three doses, including the extra one. I urge every citizen to get vaccinated, every single one of them."
