The inventions date back to novels published many decades ago.
For example, If you click on Advertising Airship: ("In the film, enormous airships fly close overhead, with both video and audio advertising. This is the way the airship was shown in the film."), you'll see that this idea came from Blade Runner by Ridley Scott. This extensive list includes everything from Killer Robots to Artificial Food.
Reading through this list is one of my favorite ways to procrastinate.
