Acclaimed electric guitarist Sarah Lipstate (who records under the name Noveller) just released this hauntingly gorgeous rendition of the Twin Peaks theme song, performed on a perfect recreation of the Black Lodge from the show. As she explains in the caption accompanying the video, she achieved the shimmering sound using only her Fender Jazzmaster and two guitar pedals — the Demedash T-120 Deluxe V2, an echo pedal that claims to recreate the "garbled audio that accompanies worn-out and poorly aged budget bin video tape," and the R1 Reverb Pedal from Walrus Audio. I just recently purchased Walrus Audio's Fathom Multi-Function Reverb Pedal, but the full, spacey tone that Lipstate achieves here is making me wonder if I should've bought the R1 after all…
