Viagra thief "not a hardened criminal," according to his attorney

That's it. The headline is worth the post.

But just in case you require more context, Stephen Cooper, 46, was arrested for swiping a package of Viagra from a pharmacy in Leek, England. Apparently he had previously attempted to shoplift the same thing, apologized to the store managers, and was banned although not reported to the cops. (Around the same time, Cooper e had been busted for possessing a small amount of cannabis.) Authorities ordered him to pay £35 for the stolen items plus a £22 "surcharge."

"He formed a relationship and needed the Viagra to enable him to keep up with the young woman he had formed the relationship with," said Cooper's attorney Iain Haley. "He is not a hardened criminal."
