Okay, I'll try a chalkboard eraser on my windows if it makes cleaning easier

I gave up Windex (for the overpowering smell) years ago, making my own glass-cleaner from a recipe I found online (see Homemade Glass Cleaner #4. And yes, I prefer the stink of vinegar over stinkier Windex).

But the Lifehacker glass hacks in the video below include an alternative recipe to try, along with glass-washing tricks I didn't know about, like using a chalkboard eraser or dryer sheets instead of paper towels, or soaking cloudy glassware in soap and vinegar for 10 minute for a better clean. I'll try anything that makes house chores easier.
