Bobby McFerrin teaches us about the pentatonic scale through audience participation

In this video, Bobby McFerrin explains the Pentatonic Scale in the coolest way by using audience participation. In McFerrin's demonstration, the crowd becomes his instrument. He assigns various vocal notes to different positions on the stage. As he jumps around the stage, the audience is able to remember which sound matches the place he is standing in. The audience's memory is surprisingly accurate. Through this technique, they are able to make a song together.
