How cute! Mommy and son arrested for helping to steal Nancy Pelosi's laptop during Jan 6 Capitol assault

Proud mama Maryann Mooney-Rondon (55) and her rascal of a boy Rafael Rondon (23) were arrested on a bushel basket of federal charges, including theft of government property (a pair of escape hoods and helping to steal Nancy Pelosi's laptop, which they allegedly swiped during the deadly Presidential coup attempt on January 6, 2021), disorderly conduct in a restricted building, and obstructing an official proceeding. Online sedition hunters had been referring to the pair as airheadboy and #airheadlady because of the fashionable escape hoods they were wearing during the riot.

Little Rafael also got popped for possession of a registered sawed-off shotgun — that's some pea-shooter you got there, Raffie!

It's not clear yet whether the federal prison will make accommodations to allow the inseparable duo to share a cell, but I'm sure their lawyer can argue that no one makes chocolate chip smiley face pancakes better than Mrs. Mooney, and Raffie gets cranky if he can't have them.

From The Washington Post:

Mooney-Rondon told investigators that she lent a pair of gloves to a person attempting to steal the laptop, according to the affidavit. Her son told investigators that he helped the man place it in a bag.

"While we were in the office, one of the [individuals] . . . was trying to rip the ethernet cords to one of the laptops, and he yelled at me and my mother to help him," Rafael Rondon told the FBI, according to the affidavit. "And I was honestly a little bit afraid . . . So I assisted him a little bit, and that was probably stupid of me."
