In Belgium, a pilot lost control of his small airplane on Friday but fortunately deployed the parachute which slowed its descent. Still, it crashed nose first into the sidewalk on a busy road. Amazingly, the pilot walked away "relatively unscathed," according to The Telegraph:
He later told emergency services that he had lost control of the plane due to technical difficulties. Firefighters rushed to the scene but the plane did not catch light.
