Here's a link to a PDF of declassified NSA posters obtained via a FOIA. The posters, which range from the 1950s to the 1970s, combine threats delivered in a tone of forced cheerfulness and a design aesthetic that feels like it came from East Berlin commercial artists who had never seen other countries' graphic design but were given text descriptions of what it looked like. The end result is something Patrick McGoohan might see wheat pasted to a wall in The Village.
