Simu Liu has one of the most entertaining backstories in film. It's no secret that most actors find themselves working in odd occupations to finance their artistic pursuits. Most of the time, actors turn to waiting tables while simultaneously awaiting their big break. However, that's not the only gig available.
While he was venturing into the world of cinema, Simu Liu—the breakout star of Marvel's Shang Chi: and the Legend of the Ten Rings-—found gainful employment posing for stock photos. Once he became a marquee name in the MCU, Liu took to the interview circuit to dish about his previous job. However, Simu Liu might have missed a career as a singer.
In the video linked above, you can check out Liu impressively strum and sing his way through a song. I guess that karaoke scene at the end of Shang-Chi might've been more of an in-joke than we initially realized.
