Ted Cruz sees a hat with horns on the Grammys and calls it "evil" while his state struggles without power

With more than 30,000 people still without power in Austin, TX on Sunday, Ted Cruz had more important things on his mind. Like watching the Grammys from the comfort of his own powered-up telly in his warm Cancun, er, Houston home, only to panic-tweet what he saw on his screen: singer Sam Smith wearing a top hat with plastic horns.

"This…is…evil," the shaken Senator wrote, commenting on fearmongering podcaster Liz Wheeler's post, who thought Smith, performing "Unholy" in costume with Kim Petras on a fiery stage, was actually in cahoots with Satan.

"Don't fight the culture wars, they say. Meanwhile demons are teaching your kids to worship Satan. I could throw up," the nauseating commentator said (see tweet, along with bloodcurdling video, below).

No doubt Cruz and Wheeler were the kids who hid under their beds during Halloween.
