The lukewarm reception of the PSP and the PS Vita has not dissuaded them: Gaming insider Tom Henderson reports that a third PlayStation handheld console is in development. Codenamed the Q Lite, it's meant to pair with the PS5 in much the same way its predecessors paired with the PS3 and PS4. Allegedly, it's meant to rely on the PS5's Remote Play technology. Sony has been ramping up its marketing of that feature lately, so there may be something to that.
This comes amid rumors of a PlayStation 5 Pro and a special model with a detachable disc drive, all supposedly meant to release around the same time. Expect a significant hardware push from Sony in the future, although I personally would question the wisdom of picking up a PS5 Pro when only a handful of games taking full advantage of the original PS5 have been released.
